A few of my favorite things...

Mika loves sitting in the kid poofy chairs. And she loves Kaylin's computer. If Kaylin ever starts to play with it (usually in the car) she'll yell at her till it's in her lap...

She also loves her juice. She usually drinks it in a sippy cup, but sometimes she'll find Ethan's juice boxes in the kitchen. I caught it this time, I think it's hilarious.
Mind the dirty diaper...this is at Danen's anniversary and it started to rain, her pants got soaked, so we took them off. Next thing we knew she had sat in the mud, stolen Ethan's quad and was driving it along while making "vroom" sounds.
Aidrian also has strong feelings to...poptarts. If you look closely, you can see one in her hand.
But these next items fall into first place. She is the first of my kids who have attached to anything besides a passy or bottle. Mika loves her stuffed doggie and her polka dot blanket. She'll give her doggie kisses through out the day and give her blanket a squeeze, but she really just wants them at bedtime. Minutes after she has them in her eyes, she's fast asleep. (she's not asleep in this pic, just giving loves...)

Remembering Danen

Today is the anniversary of when Travis' brother Danen passed away. I can't believe it's been 4 years....We always like to take time during the day to remember him and how I do it is to look through his pictures. He had such a fun, happy, good life.
I have really great memories with him, when Travis and I were dating he was 14. One of my favorites was our bubble gum war. He always had to win at everything--and he usually did.

Tonight we will meet at the park where he died to meet with family and friends and take time to remember him.

We miss you Dane.

The Show!

As I said in my parade post, I lost all my pictures from the evening festivities. I'm so bummed. We go to the neighbor's house whose lawn goes right up to the lake the do the firework show right over. We bring camping chairs and blankets. This year while Travis was unloading the golf cart with our stuff in one hand and Mika in the other, he stepped in a hole and heard his ankle crack 3 times. He started walking on it right away and then iced it. But it got huge! He's been elevating it and that seems to be helping, also wrapping it. But of course he's back at work today with his ankle looking like this.

Mika Moo got into the chips--Fritos. It's all over her cute little face. I don't think she's hungry half of the time, she just wants to eat what you are eating. I was worried about her reaction since the fireworks are so close. But we laid down right next to Kaylin and she just laid on me squinting and holding one fist up to her ear.

Thak to Kenda I have some pictures of the amazing show. These pictures of course don't do it justice. It really was amazing and beautiful. The kids also enjoyed Sparklers. Kaylin concentrated hard on writing her name, while Ethan walked around staring at the Sparkler and not anything else. :)

Happy 4th everyone!!! Whooo hooo!

PTC Parade!

Our family tradition is going to the city parade. We take the golf cart, meet up with friends and get bags of candy, frisbee's, popcicles etc. The kids love it! Above is a pic of an old firetruck. Thought it was so cool.
Here are 3 kiddos waiting for the parade to start. Ethan, Kaylin and her friend Bailey.
Me and my girl Kenda. (she's the one who made Kaylin's dress!!!) She always gets me laughin'.
Aidrian was camera shy, but at least I've got a picture with my handsome hubby.
Cutie Kaylin blowing bubbles. Her and Mika wore matching shirts with white skirts. They were so cute.
She walked around like she owned the place. She didn't want to sit when the parade started! But once the loud bands walked by or big trucks, she'd stay in our arms and point to everything.
Our little family on the back of the golf cart.
My parents came down after mom's flight from CT to wish Kaylin a Happy Birthday! Dad treated us to our favorite place, Chick Fil-A and was sad to see them go! Dad had been in the Peachtree race that took place in Atlanta early that morning....
Here's Dad sportin his Peachtree Shirt. Cute Mama was all decked out too!
Stay tuned for a glimpse of the fireworks...my computer deleted all my pictures from the night events. SO SAD! But my friend is going to send me some. The firework show taked place kitty corner from the Clarke's house. We are lucky enough to walk 2 houses down to a neighbor's home that has a big areas of grass that goes up tot he lake that the firework show takes place. The fireworks are right in front of us, and it's an amazing show. When you lay down it's like they are going to fall on you....

My cute Red, White and Blue kids!!! My wonderful, talented friend Kenda MADE Kaylin's dress and Mika's skirt. These pictures don't do them justice, but she has a blog you can check out. She makes the most amazing things! sewbien.blogspot.com
Here is Kaylin twirling....
Happy Birthday my sweet little firecracker!

The Partay!

Thanks to my friend Kenda, the birthday party was a success! She helped me with the cakes and fruit. She also took these pictures for me. Above is Kaylin's own little cake. We took the decorations out to light her #6 candle. Below is our popcorn cones. Yum!
And the cupcakes...aren't they cute? Kaylin wanted some strawberry cake and some vanilla. They were tasty!
Thanks Kenda for all your help! Kaylin had a wonderful birthday!
